9TH GRADE APPLICATION FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR NOW OPEN !

RISING 9TH GRADERS

Current 8th graders who wish to apply for CICS Longwood’s 9th grade class for the 2025–26 school year must apply through the City of Chicago’s GoCPS application system. The Round 1 GoCPS application closed on December 15.

For students who named CICS Longwood on their GoCPS application - offers will be released in student GoCPS accounts on Friday, March 14. If students receive an offer to CICS Longwood, they must accept this offer in their account no later than Friday, April 4.

For students who did not rank CICS Longwood on their initial application or who do not receive an offer on March 14 - The Rolling Waitlist will open on Monday, April 21. Students will be able to apply on a space available basis. Stay tuned for more information.

RISING 10TH, 11TH & 12TH GRADERS

The application for these grades for next school year (2025-26) is now open! The application process for these grades is as follows: 

  1. Students/families will apply via the CICS School Mint system during the Open Enrollment period (October 7, 2024 – March 21, 2025).

  2. In April, if the number of applications exceeds seats available, a public lottery will be held to determine which students receive offers. 

Once offers are extended, families will log into their CICS School Mint account to accept their offers and complete registration.

ENROLLMENT IS STILL OPEN FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

9TH GRADERS

Students who wish to apply for CICS Longwood’s 9th grade class for the 2024-25 school year must apply through the City of Chicago’s GoCPS application system.  Please follow these steps –

  1. Access the Rolling Waitlist in your student’s GoCPS account.

  2. Request an Offer to CICS Longwood High School.

  3. Then, ACCEPT the offer.

  4. Registration and enrollment will resume during the next Enrollment Period beginning on October 28th until November 6th.

10TH, 11TH & 12TH GRADERS

The application for these grades for the current school year (2024-25) is open and offers will be made on a space available basis.  Students applying for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades for this school year should –

  1. Click here to begin the application process.

  2. Create a parent/guardian account.

  3. Add any students wishing to apply to CICS Longwood for these grades, then complete and submit the application.  Offer status will be communicated to families within 48 hours. 

If you receive an offer, you will be prompted to complete your online registration. The CICS Longwood High School team will follow up with you to provide support & guidance as well as invite you to the school to complete in-person registration.
